This is my second experience with ditching cable. Six months after dropping Verizon FIOS in 2010, just like an addict, I went back to my product. This time, it was in the form of DirecTV.

Things are different for me this go around. The first time I dropped cable, I did so solely for monetary reasons. Nearly a year later, I’ve come to realize my disdain for the cable and satellite companies. They force you into paying for  more than you want. They keep raising prices. They provide shoddy customer service. It’s time for people to say “no more.”

That’s what I’m doing by ditching traditional paid TV. This blog will chronicle my journey, provide reviews of products and services, and offer advice for those looking to ditch cable.
